Client parameters¶
Use one Nexus API key. In each client, add a separate connection entry so the
client's default connection stays unchanged. Copy the model id from
GET /v1/models. Confirm the route family in
Models and prices before you rely on tools, images, or a
long context window.

Choosing a URL¶
- OpenAI Chat and Responses:
https://api.nexus-hub.tech/v1. - Anthropic Messages:
https://api.nexus-hub.tech. - Gemini-compatible:
https://api.nexus-hub.tech/v1beta.
Enter the base URL rather than the operation's full route. A Responses client
appends /responses. An Anthropic client appends /v1/messages. A chat client
appends /chat/completions.
ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN is sent as Authorization: Bearer. ANTHROPIC_API_KEY
is sent as x-api-key. Nexus accepts both. Use one of them in a single entry.
Idempotency and retries in clients¶
Official OpenAI and Anthropic libraries can send Idempotency-Key through
extra_headers. The same key and the same body protect a retry after a dropped
connection from a second charge. The matrix and examples are in
